Full Restoration Service
Top sash and lower sash removed.
Weather proofing – cracks sealed, exposed wood primed and re-putty where needed.
Paint removed from sash box, sanded and primed.
Sashes planed for accurate fit / meeting.
All moving parts sanded down.
Parting beads replaced and primed.
Staff beads, pulleys and glass replaced where necessary.
Highest quality waxed-cotton sash cords fitted to top and lower sash.
Re-balance – For undersized weights, extra lead weights will be added.
Glass cleaned inside and out.
Draught proofing / sound reduction – machined into the sashes and completely hidden. Vastly superior to bead draught proofing.
I have a wide range of contemporary and period sash furniture and security locks to enhance the finish.
We can also replace sashes to match original design. New sashes can be fitted with double glazing suitable for conservation/listed buildings.
